About the Role
My client is looking for an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join their team in Hitchin. This is a great opportunity for a skilled Vehicle Technician with strong mechanical knowledge and experience in servicing, diagnostics, fault finding and vehicle repairs. You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality work across a range of vehicles, ensuring all repairs and maintenance are completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
- Carry out vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
- Complete mechanical repairs to a high standard
- Carry out inspections and identify any additional work required
- Repair and maintain braking, suspension and steering systems
- Carry out general vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop
- Follow health and safety procedures
- Work effectively as part of a team
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Technician
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Experience with servicing and vehicle repairs
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working in a busy workshop environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- A professional approach to work
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
