We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our team within the waste management sector. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical skills who is looking for stable, full-time work.
Pay & Benefits
- £17.00 per hour
- Overtime: £25.59ph
- Bank Holidays / Sundays: £34.12ph
- Hours: 08:00–17:00 (Monday–Friday)
- Breaks: 1 hour unpaid
Requirements
- No formal qualifications required
- Experience within the waste industry is preferred but not essential
- Previous knowledge of work as a LGV Mechanic
- To have a full UK driving Licence
- LGV class 2 driving entitlement preferred but not essential
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all work complies with the Health & Safety at Work Act and all other statutory regulations
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain the skills required for the role
- Complete all allocated work to the required standard and within agreed timeframes
- Prepare and submit all relevant paperwork, worksheets, and records
- Ensure all operations are legally compliant and follow internal quality and environmental procedures
- Carry out any additional duties reasonably expected within the scope of the role
