My client, a well-established manufacturing business based in Hitchin, is looking for an experienced and reliable Electro-Plater to join their team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will have experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment and a strong track record of producing high-quality work to strict standards. This role involves plating manufactured components using various electroplating processes, including nickel plating and zinc plating. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and take pride in producing quality finished products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electroplating processes on manufactured components, including nickel and zinc plating.
  • Prepare, jig and wire components ready for plating.
  • Ensure finished components meet required quality standards.
  • Inspect completed work and report any quality issues.
  • Follow engineering procedures, safety standards and production requirements.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings where required.
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment.

About You:

  • Previous experience as an Electro-Plater within a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
  • Experience with nickel plating, zinc plating or similar processes.
  • Ability to follow and interpret engineering drawings would be advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting.
  • Good dexterity for handling, jigging and wiring components.
  • Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently or as part of a team.
