Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers – Tilbury

Interaction Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers to join a leading distribution centre based in Tilbury. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for long-term, reliable work with a structured shift pattern and competitive rates of pay.

The Role
- RDC to RDC trunking deliveries
- No handball or manual unloading
- Modern, well-maintained fleet
- Ongoing, full-time work
- Average shifts of 10–12 hours
- Supportive transport team and efficient operations
- Adhering to all Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Completing daily vehicle safety checks and defect reporting
- Delivering a professional service while representing the client
Shift Pattern
- 5 On / 3 Off rolling rota
- PM shifts only
- Start times between 17:00 and 19:00
- Flexible 3-hour start window
- Regular, consistent shifts every week
Pay Rates
- Monday to Friday Days: £17.75per hour
- Monday to Friday nights £19.93ph
- Saturday: £20.13 per hour
- Sunday: £21.13 per hour
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV Licence
- A valid Driver CPC qualification
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No DD or DR convictions
- A good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- The ability to complete vehicle checks accurately and safely
- A reliable, professional attitude with excellent communication skills
- Previous Class 1 driving experience is preferred
