Job Description
Configuration Engineer
Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire
Rate: £14.25 per hour (PAYE)
Contract: 3-Month Rolling
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or other shifts available
About the Role
We're looking for a Configuration Engineer to join our growing Configuration Department. In this role, you'll deliver accurate and efficient IT configuration services, working on a variety of systems and projects. Full training will be provided for bespoke in-house systems.
What You'll Do
- Install and configure software within existing IT infrastructures
- Build and configure systems following detailed scripts
- Perform manual data input (25–50% of the role) using spreadsheets
- Consolidate consignments for distribution
- Box/unbox IT equipment and support pallet movement
- Communicate progress and delays proactively
- Work to meet SLA targets and productivity goals
