A well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice in Wimborne is looking for a motivated Personal Tax Accountant to join its growing team. You'll work with a varied portfolio of clients, gaining exposure to both compliance and advisory work, with full support to progress towards managing your own portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage personal tax returns— Prepare Self Assessment Tax Returns for individuals, HNWIs, landlords, and sole traders.
- Develop your own portfolio— Grow towards managing your own client base with ongoing support.
- Provide tailored tax advice— Support clients with buy-to-let taxation, foreign income, residency, and Capital Gains Tax.
- Act as a trusted point of contact— Liaise with clients and HMRC, handling queries and supporting tax enquiries.
- Ensure accurate compliance— Deliver high-quality, accurate tax compliance work.
What You'll Need
- 9–12 months' experience within an accountancy practice
- Good working knowledge of UK Ltd Tax, Personal Tax, and Self Assessment
- Commercial awareness and a client-first mindset
- Proficiency with IRIS (preferred) and Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to grow
- Preferred (not essential) ATT qualified or studying
- Interest in progressing towards CTA
