Immediate temporary to permanent job available – Derby – Nr Pride Park – Hours of work – Monday to Thursday 7am to 5.15pm – Hourly Rate £12.21 per hour. The duties will include:- Quality checking woven fabrics during the manufacturing process Hand tying yarn into specialist in house looms, preparing the products for manufacture Monitoring the manufacturing to customer/Company specifications Our ideal candidate will have: · Good manual dexterity · Good attention to detail and eye for monitoring of quality levels · Ability to work on own initiative and as a team · Good level of written and spoken English, due to having to follow written inspections. · confidence in learning new skills, with an ability to prioritise their workload and meet strict deadlines. Experience of working with yarns/threads and textiles would be beneficial, or in a manufacturing environment, although full training will be given to the suitable candidate. Some manual handling will be required in this role, as well as \”tying in\” which will require a good amount of manual dexterity. Hours: 07:00 – 17:15 Monday to Thursday, to include 1x 30 mins unpaid break, and 2x 10 min paid breaks.
