I am looking for an experienced Mechanical Assembler, looking for a mixed role of Assembly and onsite Fitting, to work for an Industrial Manufacturer based in Leeds. The successful candidate must have previous Mechanical Assembly or Mechanical Fitting experience. However, if you come from a Plumbing or Air Conditioning background and want to learn new skills, then please apply.

Other skills required are:

  • Can follow written engineering/technical drawings
  • Experience of working with Sheet Metal is advantageous
  • Must have experience of using various hand tools, air tools and Rivet Guns
  • Site Fitting knowledge would be beneficial
  • Experience in site duct work
  • CSCS Card holder if possible
  • Knowledge of Manual Handling Techniques will be vital as the role will include heavy lifting

The Assembly work is quite intricate, so dexterity is vital, while the site-based work will involve travelling to different sites, fitting the various units. Day to day duties will include:

  • Basic assembly work
  • Drilling, Riveting and Operating hand tools
  • Site Fitting
  • Duct Fitting
  • Ad hoc duties where required
  • General cleaning and tidying of the workspace area

You will be required to work a core of 39hrs per week, 7am to 5.15pm from Mon to Thurs. Flexibility will be key, especially when working on site, where longer days may be required. The starting Pay Rate for the role is Dependant on experience, between £13p/hr and £14p/hr, with Overtime paid at time ½ after 39hrs. The role is advertised as Temp to Perm for the right candidates.
