I am looking for an experienced CNC Turner and an experienced CNC Miller to work for a busy and growing Precision Engineering firm based near to Yeadon, Leeds. The successful candidates will ideally be Apprentice Trained, or time served.

Key requirements for the role include:

  • Turner:
  • Experienced with Fanuc, Siemens or Mazak is essential
  • Knowledge of ShopTurn would be beneficial
  • Must be able to Program
  • Knowledge of machining Stainless and Mild Steel, Aluminium, Brass, Copper, Bronze & Plastic
  • Machining bespoke small to medium batch size components (5's to 200's)
  • Ability to use measuring equipment such as Verniers and Micrometres
  • Miller:
    • Experienced with HAAS, Fanuc or Protrak is essential
    • Experience of Machining up to 4-axis
    • Must be able to Program
    • Knowledge of machining Stainless and Mild Steel, Aluminium, Brass, Copper, Bronze & Plastic
    • Machining bespoke small to medium batch size components (5's to 200's)
    • Ability to use measuring equipment such as Verniers and Micrometres

    Day to day duties of this role include:

    • Programming, setting and operating CNC's to produce accurate, quality components on time
    • Effective and efficient use of all materials and tooling
    • Managing your work schedule
    • Self inspecting all manufactured components
    • Adhering to all Quality and H&S Standards

    You will be contracted to 40hrs per week working Monday to Thursday from 7am to 4.30pm with an 11am finish on a Friday. The starting Pay Rate for the role is experience dependant ranging between £15p/hr up to £16.50p/hr. Overtime is available during busy periods throughout the week.
