Hours:
Monday to Friday 12 hour shifts (must be open to rotating days / nights if required)

Salary:
Dependant on experience I am looking for an experience Plate Later / Mounter for my client in Corby.

This role is a pivotal role within the business therefore; you must be able to prove you have experience within the role in a previous print environment.

The Plate Layer is responsible for the accurate preparation and mounting of flexographic printing plates onto cylinders or sleeves in preparation for printing.

This critical role is essential in ensuring high-quality print results by maintaining precise registration and alignment according to job specifications. 3.

Key Responsibilities Read and interpret works orders, layouts, and specifications to determine plate mounting requirements.

Interpret job tickets, layouts, and mounting guides to ensure correct positioning and orientation of plates.

Prepare and clean print cylinders, sleeves and mounting surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion and accuracy.

Assist with the preparation of print cylinders, including cleaning and checking for wear.

Inspect plates for damage, wear, or defects before and after mounting.

Optimum use of mounting tapes and have good control on cost and quality.

Support the Flexographic Printers and production staff by preparing plates for upcoming jobs and assisting with changeovers.

Work closely with the print operators to ensure proper setup and minimise press downtime.

Ensure all plates are labelled, stored, and handled correctly to prevent contamination or damage.

Update and maintain accurate plate inventory and mounting records.

Support continuous improvement by identifying and reporting issues related to plate quality, process inefficiencies, or equipment concerns.

Identify artwork problems and inform internally to resolve.

Train and support the Plate Assistants and other Print Operators.

Work with attention to detail producing work that is accurate.

Ensure all production sheets are filled out correctly and accurately.

Ensure quality control is maintained throughout the shift.

To report any maintenance issues promptly.

Participate and ensure a smooth handover between shifts.

Ensuring the plate area is tidy and kept in a professional manner following the highest BRCGS standards.

Must follow and comply with all company, Health & Safety, HR and factory policies and procedures.

Attend any training provided to you whether individually or collectively.

To carry out any other reasonable requests. 4.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Ability to write, speak and understand English.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Good organisational and self-motivational skills.

High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

Proactive.

Basic math and measurement skills, including use of rulers.

Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
