We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join a growing and dynamic operation. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with experience in materials handling, stock movement, and outdoor working environments who is looking for a long-term career opportunity. Working as part of a wider operations team, you will play a key role in ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and organisation across the site.
The Role
As a Yard Operative, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Receiving incoming deliveries and preparing outgoing shipments
- Operating a Forklift Truck (FLT) to transport materials across the site
- Carrying out goods-in checks and ensuring stock records remain accurate
- Organising products and materials within designated storage locations
- Supporting inventory counts and stock monitoring activities
- Maintaining tidy, safe, and efficient working areas
- Assisting other departments during busy periods where required
- Carrying out general site duties and manual handling tasks
- Identifying and reporting any damaged stock, equipment issues, or safety concerns
- Working in line with company procedures and health and safety regulations
