Interaction Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Hire Desk Manager to join a well-established and growing business within the materials handling and hire sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in forklifts, plant hire, or materials handling equipment who enjoys leading a team, building customer relationships, and running a fast-paced hire operation.

The Role

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day running of the hire department, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for customers across the UK.
  • Work closely with the Hire Desk, Service, and Sales teams while leading and supporting your own team to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing daily hire operations from enquiry through to invoicing.
  • Leading and supporting the Hire Desk team.
  • Coordinating transport, scheduling, quotations, and customer communication.
  • Building strong customer and supplier relationships.
  • Identifying cross-hire opportunities and improving operational efficiency.
  • Resolving customer queries quickly and professionally.
  • Ensuring CRM/ERP systems are kept accurate and up to date.
  • Supporting and developing team members to achieve KPIs and business goals.
