Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Facilities & Maintenance Technician to join the Facilities team of a well-established organisation based in Kettering. This is a varied, hands-on position responsible for helping to ensure the organisation's sites are maintained in a safe, secure and efficient condition. The role covers general maintenance, facilities, site security and health and safety duties, making it an ideal opportunity for someone with a practical, hands-on approach. The Role
As a Facilities & Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include: Carrying out general facilities, caretaking and maintenance duties Undertaking basic DIY, plumbing, painting and decorating Operating a FLT as required Completing toilet and facilities logs Opening and closing the site and maintaining site security Acting as a site key holder Responding to intruder and fire alarm call-outs Carrying out safety and maintenance checks on pool vehicles Conducting routine Health & Safety checks Supporting hospitality requirements when required Assisting with occasional heavy lifting and moving of equipment Working closely with colleagues across different departments to support the smooth running of the site Working Hours
The role operates on a rotating three-week shift pattern: Week 1:
Monday to Friday, 5:30am – 1:30pm Week 2:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm Week 3:
Monday to Friday, 11:00am – 7:00pm There is also an on-call requirement one week in three, with an additional allowance paid for this. About You
The successful candidate will ideally have: Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, caretaking, site services or a similar hands-on role A practical approach with basic DIY and maintenance skills A
full UK driving licence The ability to work independently and as part of a team A flexible and adaptable approach A positive
'can-do' attitude Good problem-solving skills The ability to build effective working relationships across different departments The willingness to undertake training and become a qualified First Aider The ability to undertake some manual handling and heavy lifting when required Benefits
