Electronics Rework Technician
Wellingborough Temporary Contract - 3 Months £15.00 - £16.41 per hour (depending on experience) Full Time Hours Immediate Start Available We are currently recruiting for an experienced
Electronics Rework Technician
to join a busy and innovative electronics manufacturing business based in Wellingborough on a 3-month temporary contract.

Key

Responsibilities:
Removal, replacement, and reflow of BGA components using automated hot air convection equipment.

Surface mount land preparation for PCBs and ICs using desoldering methods.

Reballing BGA ICs, including the removal and replacement of solder spheres using automated equipment.

Carrying out detailed visual inspections using a microscope to identify solder defects, shorts, and quality issues.

Performing board modifications in line with customer specifications.

Maintaining strict adherence to quality processes and procedures.

Identifying and highlighting opportunities for process improvements.

Ensuring compliance with internal quality and workmanship standards.

Skills & Experience

Required:
Previous experience with manual soldering of surface mount (SMT) and/or through-hole components is essential.

Proven background in electronics repair, rework, manufacturing, or field service environments.

Experience using microscopes for inspection work.

Confident using soldering irons, tweezers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, and other electronics hand tools.

Knowledge of BGA rework principles would be highly advantageous.

Familiarity with IPC 7711/7721 standards is desirable.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
