The predicted salary is between 22000 - 26000 £ per year.
By operating in an efficient manner, contribute to the achievement of the production targets as set out in the capacity plan, and other targets as set by the Production Shift Managers or your Team Leader. To collate, palletise, wrap and label finished goods and raw materials.
Present and load goods onto appropriately checked vehicles. Ensure excellent hygiene is maintained throughout the facility. Count and organise packaging required.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure every raw material and every customer order is packed and labelled correctly following procedures and ensuring each order leaves on time.
- Check vehicle and driver credentials to ensure we meet all statutory and company requirements.
- Comply with IMDG ADR and IATA requirements, completing all documentation as required.
- Communicate and liaise with Shipping as required.
- Organise the packaging, yard and storage to ensure excellent hygiene and housekeeping.
- Ensure FLT trucks are checked before use, and charged as per requirements and company policy.
- Work as a member of the production team and contribute to the goals and objectives of that team, as communicated by your Team Leader, or the Shift Manager.
- Prevention of contamination by ensuring all equipment used is clean and dry and hygiene duties.
- Reductions of the risk of injury by ensuring all work areas are clean, tidy and safe. You are responsible for your own and your colleague's safety.
- Operation of the FIFO system, and report any spillage or compounding errors, to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Any other duties as requested, providing you are adequately trained and provided with required PPE.
A minimum of safety glasses, safety boots and protective clothing to be worn within the production areas. Any other PPE as recommended depending on the task being undertaken and as specified in the relevant SOPs.
Skills and Attributes Required- Good English comprehension and mathematics.
- Enthusiastic team player and keen to learn.
- Excellent self-motivation with the ability to work on one's own.
- Health, Safety & Environmental enthusiasm to ensure own and others safety.
- Good IT skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX will be an advantage.
- Excellent Numeracy & communication skills.
- Able to work efficiently and effectively with attention to detail.
- Good time management.
- FLT License.
