Interaction Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected, internationally operating certification organisation for a Certification Assessor to join their established PPE Certification team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded professional who enjoys working with regulations, standards, and detailed documentation, and who is keen to develop their career within a specialist, quality-driven environment.

About the Role

Working as part of a global PPE Certification function spanning the UK, Ireland, Europe and Asia, you will play a key role in ensuring personal protective equipment meets the relevant UK and EU regulatory standards. Reporting to the Team Leader and working closely with internal technical and quality teams, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting certification assessments of PPE products in line with applicable standards and regulations
  • Interpreting and applying PPE performance standards accurately
  • Reviewing and assessing technical documentation
  • Preparing draft certification documentation
  • Communicating clearly with clients regarding certification requirements, processes and progress
  • Supporting or attending external technical meetings and standards committees when required.

This is a regulated, quality-focused role operating within a UKAS and INAB accredited ISO 17065 Quality Management System.

About You

You’ll be methodical, detail-oriented and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

Essential requirements:

  • Broad technical understanding
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Logical, structured approach to work
  • Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills
  • Experience working with customers or stakeholders
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and overseas
  • Adaptable and proactive mindset

Desirable experience:

  • Science-based degree
  • Background in a testing or laboratory environment
  • Knowledge of the PPE industry
  • Understanding of CE / UKCA marking and European legislation
  • Previous international travel or language skills
