Location: Grays, Essex

Salary: Β£55,000-Β£65,000

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 07.00 – 18:00, Friday 07.00 – 16:00

About the Client: Interaction Technical has partnered with a well-established national plant hire firm to support their team expansion. Our client is looking to onboard an engineer with heavy plant experience. They offer a comprehensive training scheme with the opportunity to go into a field role in the future.

The Requirements:

  • Previous experience working on construction plant machinery (excavators, dozers, wheel loaders etc.)
  • Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
  • Previous direct manufacturer experience or training
  • Electrical and Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience
  • Capability to work on your own and manage your own workload efficiently
  • Relevant qualifications, NVQ or City and Guilds in Construction Plant Maintenance or Land Based Engineering
  • Full UK drivers' licence

The Responsibilities:

  • Travel to client sites to perform maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide expert recommendations.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices.
  • Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance.
