The Role
Interaction Recruitment is supporting a well-established manufacturing business in their search for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable and safety-focused organisation, where you'll play a key role in ensuring production runs efficiently through a combination of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to breakdowns
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on plant and production equipment
- Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise output
- Ensuring full compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and efficiency
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and supporting audits/compliance
What We're Looking For
- Engineering qualification or time-served experience
- Background in manufacturing, production, or heavy industry
- Ability to work a rotating shift pattern (days, lates, nights)
- Strong fault-finding and hands-on maintenance skills
- Desirable: Welding, fabrication, or plant maintenance experience
