The Role

Interaction Recruitment is supporting a well-established manufacturing business in their search for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable and safety-focused organisation, where you'll play a key role in ensuring production runs efficiently through a combination of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to breakdowns
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on plant and production equipment
  • Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise output
  • Ensuring full compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and efficiency
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and supporting audits/compliance

What We're Looking For

  • Engineering qualification or time-served experience
  • Background in manufacturing, production, or heavy industry
  • Ability to work a rotating shift pattern (days, lates, nights)
  • Strong fault-finding and hands-on maintenance skills
  • Desirable: Welding, fabrication, or plant maintenance experience
