Care Home Cook – Ad Hoc Agency Shifts Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire – CB6 1SDPay: £14.00–£15.00 per hour DOEEarly & Late Shifts AvailableFlexible / Ad Hoc Agency WorkWeekly PayInteraction Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced Care Home Cooks to join our agency pool and support a residential care home in Ely.
This is a flexible, ad hoc agency role , with shifts offered based on the client's requirements and your availability. Both early and late shifts are available, making this a great option for experienced cooks looking for additional hours, flexible work or shifts around other commitments.
The Role
Duties will include: Preparing and cooking fresh meals for residentsFollowing planned menus and portion requirementsCatering for allergies, dietary requirements and modified dietsEnsuring meals are prepared and served to a consistent standardMaintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchenCompleting food safety and hygiene checksMonitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering when requiredEnsuring all food is stored, prepared and served safelyLiaising with care staff regarding residents' dietary needsWhat We're Looking For We are looking for candidates with: Previous experience working as a Cook or ChefCare home, healthcare or similar catering experience preferredGood knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safetyConfidence catering for dietary requirements and allergiesThe ability to work independentlyA reliable and professional approachFlexibility to cover early and late shiftsAvailability for ad hoc agency assignmentsA recognised Food Hygiene qualification would be desirable.
