Salary: Up to £25,400.00 per annum

Interaction Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation. We are currently seeking two Footwear Technicians to join a Footwear Testing department within a physical testing laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate standard laboratory equipment in line with Health & Safety assessments and test methods to conduct routine physical testing of footwear, materials and components
  • Take responsibility for aspects of laboratory and stores maintenance and upkeep
  • Support continuous improvement activities
  • Comply with UKAS requirements, including maintenance of personal training records

About You

Candidates must have GCSEs in Maths, English and Science (NVQ Level 3) and be competent in MS Word and Excel. You will be expected to work to deadlines, produce accurate and detailed results, and work both independently and as part of a laboratory team. You should be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong organisation, time management and planning skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • A flexible, tenacious and “can-do” attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous physical testing laboratory experience would be an advantage, as would knowledge of footwear construction and materials; however, full training will be provided.
