We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Finance Manager/Accountant to join our clients growing business. This is a key role within the company, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting, payroll management, and supplier payments. The successful candidate will be hands-on, commercially aware, and confident managing multiple accounting functions while supporting the wider management team with timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Producing financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections
  • Monitoring financial performance and reporting to senior management
  • Overseeing the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger departments
  • Managing supplier payments and maintaining strong supplier relationships
  • Ensuring accurate reconciliation of bank accounts and ledgers
  • Full responsibility for payroll processing and control
  • Managing BACS payments to employees and suppliers
  • Handling payroll-related matters including:
    • PAYE and National Insurance
    • Pension contributions
    • Deduction of Earnings Orders
    • Statutory payments and compliance
  • Liaising with external accountants, auditors, and HMRC where required
  • Maintaining financial controls and ensuring compliance with company procedures
