Salary: £47,000 - £52,000 + Overtime available @ 1.5x (OTE £60,000+)

Due to ongoing expansion, the business is opening a new, fully modernised facility in Corby, creating an exciting opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team from day one.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Engineering Support
- Perform electrical and mechanical fault finding, diagnostic assessments, and timely repairs on a wide variety of production and automated warehouse machinery.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reduce downtime and improve reliability across equipment such as conveyors, automated storage systems, control panels, motors, sensors, and packaging machines.
- Assist in engineering projects, equipment installations, continuous improvement activities, and machinery upgrades as the site expands.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site health & safety policies, risk assessments, and safe working procedures.
- Maintain accurate engineering logs, maintenance records, and ensure compliance with internal and external audits.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager, production teams, shift leaders, and contractors to support smooth and efficient operations across the facility.
- Provide technical guidance when required and support the wider team during breakdowns and high-priority issues.
- Operational Support
- React quickly to machinery faults to keep downtime to a minimum.
- Contribute to engineering team meetings, sharing insights, improvement ideas, and feedback to support plant reliability and performance.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a food manufacturing, cold storage, or general manufacturing environment.
- Fully multi-skilled with a strong electrical bias preferred (experience with 3-phase systems, sensors, PLC-controlled equipment advantageous).
- Comfortable working independently or within a team environment.
- Able to work safely at height (40+ metres) when required, using correct equipment and procedures.
- A solid understanding of automated warehouse systems, conveyor technology, mechanical handling equipment, and modern production machinery.
