We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join a busy and well established gastro pub in Royston. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef looking to work within a fresh food environment that values quality, creativity and teamwork.

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a key role in the day to day running of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
  • Assisting in menu development using fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • Leading and motivating the kitchen team during service
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
  • Managing stock control and minimising waste
  • Ensuring consistent quality across all dishes
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef within a gastro pub or fresh food environment
