My client based on the outskirts of St Ives Cambridgeshire are currently recruiting for a PCB Inspector to join their team on a full time permanent basis.
Salary – £25,000 – £26,000 DOE.
OWN TRANPSPORT REQUIRED DUE TO LOCATION.
Job Role:
Carry out inspection of assembled PCBs and components to IPC inspection standards. Responsible for PCB, Goods Inwards (where required) and finished assemblies as well as in process inspection from SMT and PTH using inspection equipment. Ensuring that Inspection is carried out inline with industry standards and carried out in a timely manner to maintain production output.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Preferred: Min 2 years in similar role, and have a general knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes, experience handling of PCB and SMT components.
- Preferred: Min 2 years inspecting PCB assemblies, certified to IPC standards. Training will be provided if required.
- Ability to read and understand customer bills of material, drawings and build packs.
- Attention to detail, ability to read and understand production documentation including bills of materials, basic assembly drawings and device specification details.
- Experience of working in an area handling static sensitive electronic (ESD) components and assemblies.
- Experience of using automated inspection tools such as AOI and X-ray systems.
- Full training will be provided on a range of automated inspection equipment used in our clean, modern manufacturing areas.
- Previous experience in a multi-batch manufacturing and light assembly environment.
- Attention to detail, ability to work with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively and relate to co-workers.
- Understand basic filing systems.
- Ability to work to schedules and deadlines.
- Good team player.
- Computer literacy.
- Exceptional housekeeping.
- Have a positive pro-active approach and demonstrate ability to achieve results.
