Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 Driver Installers to join a specialist delivery team based in Huntingdon, delivering to customer sites across the UK. This is not a standard driving role where you simply arrive, drop the goods and leave. The driving element is important, but this role is heavily focused on customer service, careful delivery, unpacking and placing specialist equipment into position at the customer's site. You will be delivering predominantly scientific and laboratory equipment across the UK. Items can be heavy, fragile and high value, so care, professionalism and attention to detail are essential.
The Role:
As a HGV Class 2 Driver Installer, you will be responsible for delivering goods directly to the customer's point of use. This may include laboratories, final destination rooms or specialist working environments.
Duties will include:
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle to customer sites across the UK
- Completing around 4–5 jobs per day on average
- Delivering goods to point of use, not just kerbside or pallet drop
- Unpacking items and placing equipment into position
- Handling heavy, fragile and high value items with care
