My client based in St Ives are currently recruiting for a Despatch Administrator to join their team on a full time permanent basis. You will take responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of the despatch process and covering for the export dispatch process during absences.
Hours - Monday to Friday 08:45-17:30
Salary - £24,600
Own Transport required due to location.
This role is responsible for carrying out despatch admin related duties on various computer systems. For example:
- This role will be linked with UK admin duties as part of an overall despatch administration team.
- Supplying carriage quotes to the sales teams.
- Booking UK pallet and box collections.
- To ensure all parcels are labelled correctly.
- To be able to phone couriers and solve any issues.
Key responsibilities are to ensure effective communication between UK Department, warehouse and other departments and that all information is entered accurately and paperwork correctly completed.
From time to time, you may be asked to carry out reasonable tasks to support the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the admin operations and business needs, including the scope of working out of normal working hours.
You will need to have a strong administrative background with a preference towards Dispatch, be computer literate with the ability to use Excel to intermediate level. The successful candidate will need attention to detail with accuracy, conscientious and self-motivation with a can-do attitude and good communication skills and being able to build relationships in all departments and with external providers.
