MIG Welder / Fabricator – Structural Steel

Job Overview

Our client is a well-established structural steel fabrication company, delivering high-quality work across a range of commercial and industrial projects. They are currently seeking a skilled and reliable MIG Welder/Fabricator with experience in structural steel to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • MIG welding of structural steel components to a high standard

  • Reading and interpreting fabrication/engineering drawings

  • Measuring, cutting, and assembling steel using appropriate tools and machinery

  • Maintaining quality and safety standards in line with company procedures

  • Working independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in MIG welding and steel fabrication

  • Strong ability to read and work from technical drawings

  • Skilled in the use of fabrication equipment (grinders, saws, drills, etc.)

  • Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards of workmanship

  • Relevant welding qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) preferred

  • CSCS card or equivalent (preferred but not essential)

  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
