Are you an experienced Injection Mould Setter looking for a stable night shift role with a long weekend every week? We are currently recruiting for a skilled and motivated Injection Mould Setter to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Yaxley, Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team where you'll play a key role in ensuring production runs efficiently, maintaining quality standards, and minimising downtime.
The Role
- Setting, adjusting and maintaining injection moulding machines to achieve optimum performance.
- Carrying out tool changes safely and efficiently.
- Monitoring machine performance and troubleshooting production issues.
- Reducing downtime and minimising scrap and rejects.
- Calibrating masterbatch units in line with setting sheets and production requirements.
- Ensuring products meet quality standards and cycle time targets.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards.
- Providing supervisory cover when required during holidays or absences.
- Recording downtime, scrap and production information using the company's ERP system.
About You
- Previous experience as an Injection Mould Setter within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of tool changes and machine setting.
- Experience monitoring cycle times, machine performance and quality standards.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to reducing downtime and improving efficiency.
- Basic computer skills and experience inputting production data.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures within manufacturing.
