Construction Recruitment Consultant to join our Kettering team.
This is an opportunity for someone who understands the construction market, thrives on building relationships and wants to take ownership of a successful recruitment desk.
The Role
As a Construction Recruitment Consultant, you'll manage and develop your own client and candidate portfolio, specialising in the recruitment of construction professionals across temporary, contract and permanent positions.
You'll be responsible for developing new business, strengthening existing client relationships and building a reliable network of high-quality construction candidates.
From speaking with Site Managers and Project Managers to sourcing skilled trades and construction professionals, you'll become a trusted point of contact for clients who need the right people, at the right time.
You'll have the freedom to develop your market, backed by the infrastructure, reputation and support of an established recruitment business.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with construction companies, contractors and clients.
- Identify new business opportunities and actively grow your client portfolio.
- Source, interview and qualify construction professionals across your specialist market.
- Manage the recruitment process from initial vacancy through to successful placement.
- Build and maintain a strong network of reliable, skilled construction candidates.
- Respond quickly to urgent and high-volume construction requirements.
- Understand client projects, workforce requirements, skills shortages and market conditions.
- Negotiate rates and terms with both clients and candidates.
- Maintain regular contact with placed candidates and clients to ensure strong ongoing relationships.
- Ensure all candidates meet the relevant compliance and right-to-work requirements.
- Work towards and exceed weekly and monthly activity and billing targets.
- Develop your knowledge of the construction market and become recognised as a specialist within your sector.

Ideally, you'll have
- Proven recruitment experience, preferably within construction, civil engineering, trades, property or a related sector .
- A strong understanding of the construction recruitment market.
- Experience within temporary, contract or permanent recruitment.
- The confidence to speak with construction professionals and decision-makers at all levels.
- Strong business development and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication, organisation and negotiation abilities.
- A commercially focused and target-driven mindset.
- The resilience and determination to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to developing new clients and opportunities.
- A full UK driving licence is preferred.
