Interaction Engineering Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator Join a Growing Engineering & Fabrication Company A well-established and growing engineering and fabrication company based in Nottingham is looking for an experienced and skilled Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator to join its team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual with experience in sheet metal fabrication who takes pride in producing high-quality work and is looking to develop their career within a professional engineering and fabrication environment.
The Role
As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling a range of sheet metal components and fabricated parts to detailed drawings and required specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Measure, mark out, cut, form and fabricate sheet metal components.
Operate sheet metal machinery and fabrication equipment.
Carry out folding, bending, drilling, cutting and forming operations. Assemble and finish fabricated components to a high standard.
Work with a variety of metals and sheet materials.
Carry out quality checks to ensure components meet required standards.
Identify and report any issues with materials, dimensions or finished components.
Work closely with other members of the fabrication and engineering team.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment. Follow company health and safety and quality procedures at all times.
Candidate Requirements Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Worker, Sheet Metal Fabricator or similar role is essential.
Strong ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Experience working with sheet metal and associated fabrication techniques.
Good understanding of measurements, tolerances and specifications.
Experience using hand tools and sheet metal machinery.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual and hardworking. A practical, problem-solving approach.
Experience within aerospace, engineering or precision fabrication would be highly advantageous.
