Our client is seeking an experienced Welder / Fitter to join their growing team in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with strong fabrication, welding, and fitting experience to work on a variety of bespoke projects within a busy and professional workshop environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, fabricating and assembling components, and carrying out high-quality welding and fitting work to exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture, fabricate, and assemble components from engineering drawings.
  • Carry out MIG, TIG, and/or MMA welding to a high standard.
  • Fit and install fabricated components and assemblies.
  • Work with a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Use workshop machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Troubleshoot fabrication and fitting issues as they arise.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Welder, Fabricator, or Welder/Fitter.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
  • Strong MIG welding skills; TIG welding experience advantageous.
  • Experience with structural steelwork, fabrication, and assembly.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
