Our client is a long-established manufacturer based in the Taunton area and we are recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team working a double day shift. Monday to Friday 6.0am to 2.00pm and 2.00pm to 10.00pm.
The Opportunity
As part of the operations team, you will help maintain the performance and reliability of the equipment used to produce their products. This role is vital to keeping production running smoothly and ensuring our high technical standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on electrical systems, production machinery, and site equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults across manufacturing and testing equipment used in acoustic and thermo-acoustic production.
- Support installation, commissioning, and optimisation of new machinery within their vertically integrated manufacturing facility.
- Work closely with engineering, laboratory, and production teams to minimise downtime and enhance process reliability.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant electrical legislation, safety rules, and internal quality standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to ongoing reliability improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Qualified Electrical Engineer.
- Strong experience with industrial electrical systems such as motors, panels, sensors, and automated equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Aware of safe working practices and electrical compliance regulations.
