We are looking for a Service & Breakdown Engineer to support the maintenance and reliability of renewable energy and heating systems across the UK. This is a key role for someone who takes pride in delivering excellent service and helping customers get the most out of their low-carbon technology.
The Role
- You will be responsible for the servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair of renewable energy systems, responding to both planned maintenance and reactive breakdowns in a professional and timely manner.
- Systems may include:
- Biomass boilers and associated plant
- District heating and heat networks
- Low-carbon and renewable heating technologies
- Mechanical and control system components
What You Will Be Doing
- Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing breakdowns efficiently and safely
- Attending customer sites and providing clear technical feedback
- Completing service reports and documentation accurately
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards
- Representing the company professionally on site
About You
- Proven experience as a Service, Maintenance, or Breakdown Engineer
- Background in mechanical, plumbing, heating, or energy systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
- Renewable energy or biomass experience is highly desirable (training can be provided)
