We are recruiting for a permanent production mixing operative on a temp to perm basis for our award winning manufacturing client near Buckfastleigh.
The Role
You will be working in a team environment to weigh, mix and blend ingredients to manufacture the products to a high standard. Operating machinery, manual handling and lifting whilst adhering to health and safety policies and procedures. You will work across various departments within production giving you plenty of variety to your week. It will be desirable to have a counterbalance forklift licence but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately weigh, measure, and manually handle raw ingredients
- Prepare and mix batches according to recipes and production specifications
- Operate and monitor machinery and equipment safely
- Ensure correct sequencing and timing of ingredients to meet quality standards
- Use handheld devices and online systems to record batch data, stock usage, and production activity
- Complete all required production documentation accurately
- Maintain cleanliness of the mix room, tanks, and equipment in line with hygiene and food safety standards
- Carry out cleaning, flushing, and sanitising procedures between batches
- Organise materials and prepare mixes to support the following day's production
- Work closely with the production and bottling teams to ensure smooth workflow and minimal downtime
- Take ownership of the mix room area once fully trained
