We are seeking a skilled and motivated Press Brake Operator to join a forward-thinking manufacturing company in Chard. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in producing precision-engineered metal components, working with modern machinery and technical specifications to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate press brake machinery to bend, shape and form metal components
- Set up machines, including tooling and adjustments, for specific jobs
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to achieve required tolerances
- Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Maintain equipment for safe and efficient operation
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet production targets
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience operating and setting up press brake machines preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work to precise measurements
- Engineering background essential
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and proactive problem-solving approach
- Physical stamina to meet the demands of the role
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
Friday: 08:00 – 14:00
Total: 38 hours per week
