We are seeking a skilled and motivated Press Brake Operator to join a forward-thinking manufacturing company in Chard. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in producing precision-engineered metal components, working with modern machinery and technical specifications to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate press brake machinery to bend, shape and form metal components
  • Set up machines, including tooling and adjustments, for specific jobs
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to achieve required tolerances
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Maintain equipment for safe and efficient operation
  • Collaborate with colleagues to meet production targets
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements

  • Previous experience operating and setting up press brake machines preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work to precise measurements
  • Engineering background essential

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
Friday: 08:00 – 14:00
Total: 38 hours per week
