Lobster Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable automotive business based in Trentham Lakes for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their growing workshop team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled automotive professional looking to work in a modern and fast-paced service environment where quality workmanship and customer satisfaction are highly valued.
The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of mechanical, servicing, and diagnostic duties across passenger and light commercial vehicles.
Main Duties- Carrying out routine servicing and mechanical repairs
- Diagnosing vehicle faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- Completing maintenance work to a high standard
- Undertaking MOT testing where qualified
- Performing vehicle inspections and health checks
- Accurately completing workshop paperwork and service records
- Working closely with other technicians and workshop staff to ensure deadlines are met
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with manufacturer and safety standards
Monday to Friday – 08:30am to 5:00pm. Overtime available when required. Saturday morning rota on occasion.
About YouTo be considered for this role, applicants should have:
- At least 2 years' experience within a similar Vehicle Technician or Mechanic position
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification
- A full UK driving licence
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
- Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- A reliable and professional approach to work
