The Opportunity:

Seeking a self-employed Site Manager who has a strong background in delivering high-end new builds. The client is based in Bournemouth and operates several projects in the Dorset and Hampshire regions.

The Role:

  • Producing method statements.
  • Weekly management reports.
  • Monitor progress of the project in accordance with programme.
  • Pre-start meetings and health and safety plans.
  • Undertake a site safety induction of all new site personnel.
  • Liaise with the materials controller ensuring material deliveries are in accordance with the build programme.
  • The management of the work carried out by the sub-contractors.

The Person:

  • You must have detailed building and construction experience.
  • CSCS card.
  • SMSTS.
  • First Aid qualified.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to read drawings.
  • Ideally from a trade background - Brick/Stone/Masonry would be preferred.
  • Good eye for detail and passionate about construction.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Degree/HND/HNC in Construction or a related subject.
  • Experience working for a developer or contractor.
