Mobile HVAC Technician – Newbury
Interaction Construction are currently recruiting for a Mobile HVAC Technician based in the Newbury area to join a growing Mechanical Contractor in the South of England. You will be responsible for the service, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and commercial clients. The role demands technical knowledge of HVAC systems, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, repair, and maintain HVAC systems (including air conditioners, VRF\'s, chillers, heat pumps, ventilation units, fan coils, mini splits etc.)
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on systems to improve functionality and performance.
- Diagnose HVAC problems through system checks and diagnostic tools.
- Maintain service records, document work performed, and report deficiencies or hazards.
- Ensure compliance with UK HVAC codes and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining findings, recommending solutions, and addressing customer questions.
- Collaborate with other technicians, contractors, and clients to complete jobs on time and within a service budget.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and parts inventory.
- Stay updated with the latest HVAC technology and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Qualified or suitably experienced in a HVAC Technology, preferably AC & Refrigeration or Multi skilled.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC environment or a related technical role.
- Valid HVAC technician certification (e.g. City and Guilds FGas – Level 2 or below, building service certification etc.)
- Good Knowledge of HVAC systems and components, good fault-finding skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver\'s license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to work out of hours from time to time.
