POWER STEERING TECHNICIAN EXPERIENCED Salary: £13.00 £14.00 per hour after 12 weeks Hours: MondayFriday, 7:00am5:00pm Holiday: 29 days per year Full-time employment We are currently recruting for an experienced Power Steering Technician to join our clients team in Birmimgham. This is an opportunity for someone with genuine hands-on experience in the power steering industry. You must be confident working with both manual and PAS (Power Assisted Steering) units, including stripping, inspecting, rebuilding and building steering units. THE ROLE Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Stripping and inspecting manual and PAS steering units Rebuilding manual steering racks and units Building and rebuilding PAS steering systems Identifying faults and assessing components Carrying out repairs and replacing components where required Ensuring all rebuilt units meet our quality standards Working efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe. PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR The successful candidate must have: Previous hands-on experience in power steering Proven experience rebuilding and building manual and PAS steering units Good mechanical knowledge and understanding Excellent attention to detail The ability to diagnose faults and work methodically A strong work ethic and positive attitude The ability to work both independently and as part of a team Good reliability and timekeeping Experience is essential. This is not a trainee position.
