Job Title: Lead React Front End Software Engineer

Lead React Front End Software Engineer required by a Fintech success story. Working remotely (anywhere within the UK) and happy to get together once a month for engineering brainstorming in London, this is a fantastic opportunity to be the hands-on lead for everything front end and React.

As an experienced React Front End Software Engineer, you\’ll be interested in designing and developing high-quality React applications. You\’ll be collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design software architectures, and implement software features. You\’ll be creating and enhancing high-quality React-based web interfaces and our React Native mobile app, as they\’re used by an ever-increasing number of people in the UK. This position is ideal for a software engineering enthusiast as opposed to an individual who just wishes to develop websites.

Engineering will look to you (and the team) to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices and coding standards. You will also develop and maintain software testing suites, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests. Additionally, you\’ll participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop high-quality React applications.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design software architectures.
3. Create and enhance React-based web interfaces and React Native mobile app.
4. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
5. Develop and maintain software testing suites.
6. Participate in code reviews.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Strong programming skills in React.
2. Experience leading a team of around 4-6 engineers.
3. Deep understanding of adding features and idioms.
4. Experience working on mobile apps is advantageous.
5. Rounded knowledge of software engineering principles and practices, such as design patterns, code organization, and testing strategies.
