Specialist Contractor Needed – Senior Functional Tester Day Rate:Up to £350 (Inside IR35) Location:London W12 (Wednesdays onsite) Contract:ASAP Start – 31 July 2026

Are you a hands-on Senior Tester with a passion for clean code, modern tooling, and problem-solving in AWS environments? We\’re after a sharp, inquisitive contractor who thrives on mixing manual and automated testing — and isn\’t afraid to dig into the details.

What You\’ll Do:

• Drive functional testing across microservices, tackling both manual and automated tasks
• Help migrate legacy automated tests into a new Java-based framework
• Collaborate with dev teams to define best practices in testing and quality
• Diagnose production issues using AWS logs and metrics
• Bring test automation to life across APIs and beyond

Your Toolkit:

• Strong Java coding (not just Selenium scripts)
• Deep AWS familiarity (EventBridge, Lambda, EC2, CodePipeline)
• API test automation using Cucumber, Serenity, and Postman
• A curious mind, clear communicator, and proactive problem-solver

This isn\’t a “handle-turner” role — it\’s a chance to shape how testing is done on a large-scale Java stack. You\’ll be trusted to work independently while being backed by domain experts who value your technical insight.
