We are seeking an experienced Contract Automation QA Engineer to join a high-performing Agile team, working on the design and delivery of robust testing solutions across modern cloud-based systems.
Role Overview
- Design, communicate, and implement effective test strategies and approaches
- Collaborate with Tech Leads to understand requirements and define test coverage
- Develop and contribute to automated testing frameworks (functional and non-functional)
- Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and validate fixes
- Produce clear, concise test reports demonstrating product quality
- Communicate progress, risks, and issues to key stakeholders including Delivery Managers and Architects
- Act as the primary QA representative within an Agile team, promoting a 'whole team' approach to quality
- Establish and drive QA best practices within the team
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in automated RESTful API testing
- Proven experience working in Agile environments
- Hands-on experience with CI tools such as Jenkins
- Strong advocacy for quality engineering principles and best practices
- Excellent communication skills, with experience resolving cross-team issues
- Solid programming knowledge and coding best practices
- Technical expertise in JavaScript, Java, RestAssured, and Cucumber
- Strong experience with Gatling and Scala
- Experience with AWS services (e.g. Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch) and AWS SDK
Desirable Skills
- Automated UI testing experience
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Node.js and Playwright
- Experience with contract testing tools such as PACT or Karate
- Understanding of security testing principles
