- We're looking for an experienced
- Java Script/Type Script Engineer with strong hands-on experience across
Next. js, Nest JS to join us on a short-term contract and help build and improve an Android fitness app.
This is an opportunity to work on a fast-moving, product-led application with a strong focus on AI-assisted development, modern Java Script engineering and efficient delivery workflows.
You'll be joining at an important stage of the product, so we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, work independently and deliver high-quality features quickly.
- What you'll be doing
- Building and improving features for an Android fitness app using Next. js and Nest JS.
- Working across the Type Script stack, including APIs, integrations and application architecture.
- Collaborating remotely with the product and engineering team to deliver outcomes quickly.
- Using Claude, agentic workflows and AI tools to accelerate development and problem-solving.
- Helping shape pragmatic technical decisions across the frontend, backend and mobile stack.
- Contributing to a clean, maintainable and scalable codebase during a short, focused engagement.
What we're looking for
- Strong commercial experience as a Java Script or Type Script Engineer.
- Excellent hands-on experience with Next. js and Nest JS.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, backend services and modern web application architecture.
- Proven experience building and shipping Android mobile apps.
- Familiarity with Claude, agentic development approaches and AI-assisted engineering workflows.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote contract role.
- Comfortable delivering quickly in a startup or product-led environment.
- A pragmatic, delivery-focused approach to engineering and technical decision-making.
