We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Craftsperson to join our friendly and dedicated team at Tarmac Aberthaw Cement Plant. Main Responsibilities

  • As an Electrical Craftsperson, you will be a key member of our Maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of electrical and process control equipment across the plant.
  • Your duties will include:
    • Maintaining, fault-finding, and repairing electrical and control systems used in plant operations.
    • Demonstrating a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring safety is always your top priority.
    • Developing a thorough working knowledge of plant equipment including instrumentation, PLCs, DCS/SCADA systems, LV & HV motors, switchgear and control gear, AC/DC systems, variable speed drives, and specialist control panels.
    • Carrying out mechanical maintenance repairs where required (e.g., bearing replacement, device alignment).
    • Working flexibly, with potential weekend or split day shift requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience as a qualified electrical craftsperson or in process control maintenance.
  • 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Multi-skilled engineering maintenance background.
  • Experience with PLC systems.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A flexible, proactive, and safety-conscious approach to work.
