About the Role

Join our efficient team as a Warehouse Operative at IKEA, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our store. You will be responsible for manual handling of heavy stock, receiving and replenishing goods, picking and packing customer orders, and maintaining accurate stock records. This is a practical role in a lively warehouse environment.

Compensation and Hours

  • Start date of employment: 23 July 2026
  • Hourly rate: £13.45
  • Night shift allowance: £2.25 per hour for hours worked between 10pm and 6am
  • Part‑time: 30 hours per week (5 shifts, including alternative weekends)
  • Full‑time: 39 hours per week (5 shifts, including alternative weekends)
  • Working hours: between 10pm and 10am

Requirements

  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload swiftly and with attention to detail
  • Experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned tasks in the warehouse, including manual handling of heavy stock and receiving and replenishing goods with accuracy
  • Picking and packing customer orders and keeping accurate records of stock levels
  • Work with or around heavy machinery such as forklift trucks, counterbalance and pump trucks to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse
  • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed to maintain a secure environment for both customers and co‑workers
  • Manually handle products ranging from LACK coffee tables to PAX wardrobes
