IKEA Gateshead store are looking to welcome Warehouse Assistants to join our hard-working fulfilment team. Are you ready to bring a little bit of IKEA magic to our warehouse? We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals who love to keep things organized and moving! As a Warehouse Assistant (Replenishment), you’ll be the backbone of our operations, picking stock with precision and navigating our warehouse like a pro on a forklift. If you’re a team player with a knack for efficiency and a passion for home furnishings, we want you on our team. Due to health and safety regulations, all applicants must be over the age of 18.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive hourly rate of £12.60 per hour.
- Forklift allowance of £1.50 once trained.
- Nightshift allowance of £2.25 between the hours of 10pm & 6am.
- 30 hours weekly, working 5 days out of 7, & 3 out of 4 weekends. Starting from 4AM am till 10AM.
- 16 hours weekly, working 4 days out of 7, & 3 out of 4 weekends. Starting from 6AM am till 10AM.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential, all you will need is the motivation to make things happen in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous forklift experience is preferred but not essential, training will be provided.
- Ability to prioritize and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
- Proven experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Be self-reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
- Due to health and safety regulations, all applicants must be over the age of 18.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- Restocking and replenishing the warehouse.
- Working with or around heavy machinery, such as forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
- Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
- Use of pump truck and manual handling.
- Replenishment of the store, making sure all the shelves are full and ready for our customers.
- Once trained, the use of our forklifts when required.
