IKEA Exeter is looking to welcome Food and Beverage Assistants to join our delightful and friendly team. If you are looking for a long‑term career in food and hospitality, and the opportunity to work somewhere inclusive, we want to hear from you. We have 12‑hour contracts working in our Customer Restaurant, Kitchen Production and Swedish Food Market/Bistro areas. These are permanent, year‑round contracts in a close‑knit and motivated team.

What We Offer

  • The group assessment centre will be on Monday, 15 June in‑store, in the evening.
  • Start date of employment will be Saturday, 04 July.
  • Hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
  • Availability to work two 6‑hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as ad hoc shifts through the week (Monday to Friday) is required.
  • These are permanent contracts where you will be working throughout the year, including the holiday periods.

What You’ll Need to Have

  • Experience in food service and customer care, but we also welcome practical, motivated people who are ready to take initiative.
  • Ability to work in an extremely busy environment.
  • Bring motivation and a willingness to take action, whether working with the team or on your own.
  • Ability to remain organised and detail‑orientated, even when things get busy.
  • Due to health and safety regulations, all applicants must be over the age of 18.

What You’ll Be Doing Day to Day

  • Prepare and make meals using our ovens and kitchen equipment to offer a taste of Sweden to our customers and co‑workers.
  • Prepare for the next day's trade, manage food waste and ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen is to a high standard.
  • Take payments at tills, clean and clear the restaurant area, and work in our busy dish‑room.
  • Support your colleagues, help out, and build a positive work environment, contributing to a positive team and positive customers.
