About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to develop their skills in Azure cloud services, software development and DevOps to join our data systems team in ICNARC. You will take part in an agile development of a greenfield Azure‑native portal platform called Clinical Audit Management Portal which is currently in design phase and a part of a bigger cloud and AI transformation project called Insights Programme. You will also support and have a role in Online Reporting System, Data Dictionary and Data Warehousing projects within this programme, work closely with the corresponding solution partners of these platforms, developing/maintaining high‑quality backend services and APIs. You will be in touch with the product owners and the subject matter experts from the business in an agile production environment. Further on this path, you will have opportunities to develop solutions, software as parts of these platforms, and train further on your path towards a better equipped professional on most recent Azure based technologies. Meanwhile when needed you will be providing infrastructure solutions support and work with IaC pipelines.

What you’ll need to succeed

You will have experience of working in software development environments. You will have strong technical skills and affinity for new cloud‑based technologies along with excellent attention to detail. You will be hungry to always learn more and courageous to take up on challenges of ever evolving world of technology. As you will interact with ICNARC’s audit, research, data systems and statistician teams, and solution partners, being a good and effective communicator is key to success. It is essential that you have a proactive attitude with a clear enthusiasm for Azure services and DevOps practices.

What you’ll get in return

You will receive an annual salary in the range of £32,200 - £36,328. You will also receive a benefits package including:

  • 25 days holiday per year, increasing with length of service
  • interest‑free season ticket loan
  • life assurance and wellbeing support
  • enhanced pension scheme
  • employee assistance programme
  • support with further academic/professional development
