Main purpose of the role
The Technical Department is responsible for the design, testing and continuous improvement of Intelsius products, while also supporting the wider business with expert technical and regulatory knowledge. This role has two primary responsibilities:
- Conducting thermal and physical testing, and reporting on the performance of existing and new products using environmental test chambers, software and laboratory facilities.
- Providing technical and regulatory advice and support to customers and internal teams, including Sales, Quality and Operations.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Conduct and present research to support new product development.
- Research and evaluate innovative and sustainable materials and technologies.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to optimise solutions for performance, compliance and sustainability.
- Perform indicative thermal testing and qualification thermal testing for NPD and custom developments using environmental test chambers.
- Report findings and test results supplemented with graphical outputs.
- Deliver test results and reports within agreed timelines.
- Conduct additional testing as required (UN3373 - drop and pressure testing).
- Provide thermal testing services and support NPD via thermal modelling software.
- Provide technical support to customers, Sales, Quality, Operations and global sites.
- Monitor test chamber(s) and manage routine maintenance.
- Maintain and develop data analysis and data management tools.
- Contribute to continual process development by identifying gaps and improving processes.
Essential skills, knowledge & experience
- Scientific-based higher education qualification, degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience using coding languages such as Python, MATLAB or R for data analysis and visualisation.
- Strong attention and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to troubleshoot unexpected experimental outcomes and develop solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to write detailed technical reports, documentation and scientific summaries.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and project management skills.
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle (due to our location).
Preferred skills, knowledge & experience
- Knowledge/experience of basic thermodynamics, material science and cold-chain principles.
- Experience with computational modelling and simulation software.
- Laboratory experience, with practical expertise in experimental design, execution and interpretation.
- Experience with prototype development, optimisation, and iterative testing.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including ISO9001, ISO13485 and GDP.
- Background working within a multidisciplinary team.

08.30 – 17.00, Monday to Friday.
