Are you an experienced Senior Accountant looking to play a pivotal role in financial operations within a fast-growing AI company? IntelliSense.io is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to oversee our global bookkeeping functions, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance as we scale our business. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and want to be part of an industry-changing AI company, this role is for you!

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
  • Manage VAT returns and liaise with HMRC and equivalent bodies in Ireland, Germany, and Spain.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Assist in preparing management reports and financial statements.
  • Work closely with external accountants in the UK, Chile, and Australia.
  • Implement and improve financial controls and processes to support business growth.
  • Support payroll operations and employee expense processing.
  • Monitor cash flow and provide financial insights.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in bookkeeping or financial accounting at a senior level.
  • Strong experience with Xero or similar accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial processes.
  • Solid knowledge of UK bookkeeping regulations and VAT compliance.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Google Suite.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a global finance team.
  • Willingness to commute to Cambridge regularly.

Preferred:

  • AAT qualification or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA.
  • Experience in a fast-growing technology or B2B business.
  • Strong knowledge of financial process automation and controls.
